We offer a paint chip analysis to help you determine the type of paint that is currently on your pool.
How To Submit Your Paint Chip Analysis:
(1) Download & print out the order form (PDF)
(2) Obtain & prepare paint chips as instructed below:
- Send any peels or blisters for our analysis
- Inadequate chip size requires new chips, delaying analysis.
- Very Important: send at least 3 paint chips (size of a nickel) down to and including bare concrete.
- Do not scrape off paint samples, and do not send only peeling top coats.
- Take samples from surface where water has been lowered. Do not take sample from above water line or from areas still submerged under water.
- Do Not Obtain Samples From Hair & Leaf Strainer Or Skimmer Baskets!
- Safeguard samples by placing them in bubble wrap before placing them in sturdy cardboard or other mailer. Mail priority or overnight, if desired.
(3) Fill Out Balance of This Form to the best of your knowledge or upon qualified advice from your local SAU'SEA DEALER, pool builder, pool service company, or, if applicable, from previous owner of you present home and pool. Enclose this completed form in envelope and mail to us, along with chips, as in I, above.
(4) Speed Our Chip Analysis & Advice:
- Provide all the requested information you can and send us sufficient chips samples for analysis.
- Wrap samples in bubble wrap and insert them, along with this completed form, in a cardboard envelope to address in box above.
- The quantity of sample affects our ability to test properly.
- Insufficient samples will not be processed by lab.
